Clearances & Training
YYSL requires the following clearances from all coaches and board members. Coaches must submit the documents when registering for each season.
- Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (valid if signed in the past twelve (12) months)
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check (valid if issued in the past five (5) years)
- PA Child Abuse History Certification (valid if issued in the past five (5) years)
- HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training for Coaches (valid if issued in the past twelve (12) months)

Code of Conduct
As a coach in the York Youth Soccer League–
- I will teach and demonstrate good sportsmanship on and off the field.
- I will teach and demonstrate treating others with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or ability.
- I will teach and demonstrate that engaging in verbal or physical threats or abuse is not acceptable.
- I will teach and demonstrate that confronting or having physical contact with another coach, parent, player, participant, official, or other attendee is unacceptable.
- I will teach and demonstrate behavior that does not endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or other attendee.
- I will teach and demonstrate that arguing with officials during gameplay is unacceptable.
- I will not participate in any YYSL event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- I will report incidents and injuries as required by the league.
- I will discuss any issues, questions, or concerns with the Division Commissioner.
- I will represent the league in a positive manner.
- I will inform the Division Commissioner if I cannot complete the season in my assigned coaching role and will coordinate the return or transfer of any coach equipment within five (5) days of my last practice or game.
I understand that violating this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action as determined by the YYSL Board or an authorized league official.
